EMERGENCIES & TELEPHONE CALLS.

Emergency coverage is provided by pediatricians on a 24 hour-a-day basis. Many emergencies can be treated in our office by our pediatricians; you may contact the office for an immediate appointment. Should a life threatening emergency occur, go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room; from there, request that we be notified of your presence.

Our pediatricians are available on Saturday and Sunday mornings for urgent or emergency care in the office. There is an additional charge for weekend, holiday and after-hours visits.

Telephone counseling for routine questions is available weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The counselors at Children's HealthCare are trained to answer your questions about minor illnesses, enabling you to make the most of home remedies.

Telephone calls should be made during Children's HealthCare regular office hours. We ask for your consideration if a problem can wait until the office reopens. Should an urgent problem arise after office hours, please do not hestitate to call us immediately. Our answering service will intercept your after-hours calls and notify us. A pediatrician will then return your call.
